Executive Director
Gregory Bardies
Grégory leads the Sustainable Coconut Partnership and was instrumental in its creation, having initiated and co-founded the Sustainable Coconut Roundtable series while overseeing the responsible coconut program at Barry Callebaut laying the groundwork for what has become the industry’s central collaboration platform.
With over 15 years of experience in commodity sourcing, auditing, conservation, and corporate sustainability across Asia and Europe, Grégory has worked at the intersection of global supply chains, development, and corporate strategy. His career includes leadership roles in both the private sector and international NGOs, including WWF and Ecocert, giving him deep, first-hand familiarity with realities on the ground as well as the dynamics in corporate boardrooms. He brings to the Partnership a strategic understanding of the political economy of sustainable agriculture and the complex stakeholder landscape shaping commodity sectors.
Gregory is a regular guest speaker at universities and business schools, he holds a master degree in Sustainability from la Sorbonne University in Paris and Geography degree from University of Montreal in Canada.

Takumi Wijaya
As Operations Manager, Takumi oversees the organization’s internal systems, including legal, financial, and administrative functions. He ensures that structures and processes are robust, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s mission—enabling the team to focus on delivering meaningful impact.
Takumi brings years of experience working with mission-driven organizations. He previously supported NGOs spun out of McKinsey & Company’s social impact initiatives, addressing complex sustainability challenges such as waste management. He later applied his financial acumen at a Valuation and Advisory firm, and went on to lead financial operations at a zero-to-one fintech startup focused on advancing financial inclusion at the grassroots level.
Takumi holds management degrees from Universitas Gadjah Mada, one of Indonesia's leading universities, and from Columbia University in the City of New York, where he earned his Master of Science in Technology Management.

Supply Chain Transformation Manager
Jonathan Bird
Jon is the Supply Chain Transformation Manager, leading the Partnership’s field and technical programs.
Jon is a sustainable agri-food value chain development specialist, who enjoys working collaboratively to address challenges that lie at the nexus of livelihoods, climate, economic and social development.
Over the course of his career, spanning more than 15 years, he has gained experience for the UN, consulting firms, NGOs and as an independent consultant. This has included experience in research, project management and technical advisor positions, and he has lived and worked in five countries across Asia and Africa.
Jon has a diverse educational background, which includes an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture, an MA in Social Development and Livelihoods, and specialized diplomas in Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Value Chain Development.
